Charity concert in honor of the visit of Pope Francis

The Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group and its Foundation are looking forward to another meeting with His Holiness Pope Francis with great joy and extraordinary preparation.

As part of this preparation, in honor of the upcoming visit of the Holy Father, the Prayer Group together with the Mary’s Country Prayer Community held a charity concert and reception entitled "Homage to Pope Francis" in the Concert Hall of the Hungarian National Museum on the evening of April 25, 2023.

The world-famous violinist, Zoltán Mága and his orchestra, as well as the violinist Vilmos Szabadi performed at the concert, and the influential poem Eucharistia by the Hungarian poet Mihály Babits was performed by the dramatist and actor Károly Eperjes. The evening also served charitable purposes, with the cooperation of the Ecumenical Aid Organization, the participants supported children from cumulatively disadvantaged situations.

The organizers considered it important to hold the concert because they believe that artistic music opens our souls to the words of the Lord, so that we can preach the gospel with more courage and determination. Through uplifting music, we notice the miracles that surround us, even though we often run past them. Music helps us to realize that the Lord always wants to be with us, we just have to say yes. And if we say yes to it, then after a while we will notice that the difficulties in our life will become easier and the beautiful things will become even more beautiful.

Although the crosses of our lives are heavy, they are easier to bear with God's help

The participants could feel that the goal was achieved through the concert and togetherness, so that we could properly prepare for the upcoming visit of His Holiness Pope Francis
