On June 15, 2023, the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group welcomed Jim Garlow and his wife, Rosemary Schindler in the Parliament, who were staying in our country.
Jim Garlow is the leader of the Skyline Church in California, USA, and a member of the Faith Advisory Board with the participation of former President Donald Trump. Their goal – similar to the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group – is to organize joint prayers, primarily with the participation of Christian conservative parliamentarians and believers. As a descendant of Oskar Schindler, Rosemary Schindler is the head of the foundation bearing his predecessor’s name and memory.
During the friendly discussion, Imre Vejkey, leader of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group Foundation, Katalin Tóth, Chair of the Board of Trustees, member Board of Trustees György Urkuti and Chair of the Supervisory Board Róbert Szendrei warmly welcomed the foreign guests.
Mr. Vejkey shared the daily message of the Gospel (Mt. 5, 20-26) and his own thoughts about the tireless fight against evil, which is the task of every Christian believer and which can bring peace.
Jim Garlow gave their book entitled Well Versed as a gift to the hosts, published in many languages of the world, including Hungarian, in which he seeks answers to today's most difficult questions based on the teachings of the Bible. The participants individually thanked the Lord for the meeting, and then concluded the extraordinary event with a joint prayer, which was another important stage in the international relations building of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group Foundation.
