The Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group visited Vienna again

The Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group was invited to the Austrian Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast. The Hungarian delegation included Dr. Katalin Tóth, Chair of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group Foundation, Dr. Ádám Berniczei–Roykó, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group Foundation and prayer group member Márk Aurél Érszegi at the two-day event.

On the eve of the event, an opening reception took place, hosted by the Hungarian Embassy in Vienna. As one of the hosts, Her Excellency Ambassador Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi held a speech, along with Member of the National Council Gudrun Kugler and Member of the National Council Elisabeth Feichtinger.

The main message of the prayer breakfast on May 14, 2024, based on the teaching of the Apostle Paul's first letter to the Corinthians (1 Cor, 16,14), was the following: "Let all that you do be done in love!". President of the National Council of Austria Wolfgang Sobotka welcomed the attendees in his festive speech at the beginning of the event. The participants listened to the part of the Gospel of Matthew (Mt. 22, 34-40) about the Great Commandment, in which Jesus Christ - in response to the questions of the Pharisees and Sadducees - revealed the first and second commandments.

After joint prayer and psalms along with the Austrian representatives, round table discussions took place among the participants. In this context, participants could freely share their thoughts with each other related to the message of the event. The prayer breakfast for those present ended with a joint song of thanksgiving: "Holy God we praise thy name!" (Te Deum).

The participation of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group is an important step in the continuous expansion and strengthening of its international relations.
