A foreign prayer community visited the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group

On October 24, 2024, the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group held a prayer breakfast for the 166th time.

The event was made special by the fact that a delegation of more than 20 people from the Europeans United In Prayer prayer community joined the event. Imre Vejkey, the leader of the prayer group, first read a passage from the Gospel of Luke (Luke 12:49-53), in which Jesus Christ warns his disciples that people will be divided by his words and teachings. Family members and friends may turn against each other, and antipathy towards Christians may increase in the world. However, the task of the believers is to steadfastly stick to their faith and strive for peace.

After the words of the Gospel, Imre Vejkey greeted the members of the delegation from more than 7 countries with great joy. At their request, he talked about the history of the formation of the prayer group. He spoke about the group's daily operation and main objectives, as well as the prayer hall itself. The members of the delegation expressed their gratitude for the invitation to the prayer breakfast. After that, a truly special experience took place in the prayer hall, since instead of the usual closing prayer, a series of foreign and Hungarian Christian songs followed each other freely, which the participants sang together, everyone in their own language but still together.
