Dr. Imre Vejkey, leader of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group, and Dr. György Bakondi, Emeritus Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group Foundation were the first to greet the guests. They expressed their joy for the large number of participants, which is a sign of a particularly strong Christian community abroad, in the Carpathian Basin and in our country.
Péter Palkovics, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group Foundation, started his speech with lines from the Gospel of Matthew (Mt. 18:20). According to the teaching of Jesus Christ, "where two or three are gathered together in his name, he is there in their midst." Continuing this thought, he expressed his gratitude to the guests who participated in the prayer breakfast, as well as to the Heves County Prayer Group, which was formed in recent days - with the help of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group. In his speech, he highlighted the divine grace and the presence of the Lord everywhere, which, being a teacher, he approached from the perspective of physics and nature. As he explained, God created the universe in his infinite love, and all living things in it, which we can recognize in his creation with due attention and silence in our hearts. However, if we do not respect life, we can reach a moral impasse. In closing his thoughts, he asked for the Lord's blessing on the Hungarian nation, the Christian faith and community, as well as for future generations.

In his speech, Dr.Máté Szőke, a member of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group, quoted István Tisza, who spoke about the relationship between religion, faith and thinking. He acknowledged and praised the thoughts and conclusion of the former prime minister, according to which common sense is finite, while divine grace is infinite, which is why it can be a solid foundation for our afterlife. He highlighted the merits of King St. Stephen, including leading the country to the Christian path and offering it to the Virgin Mary. Our founding king wisely recognized the gift of faith, which accompanied him throughout its stormy history and kept the Hungarian nation alive. As a closing thought, he urged those present to continue to build the Hungarian nation together by sowing the seeds of faith in God's providence, despite the daily tests imposed on us.
László Teleki, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group Foundation, began his festive speech with the lines from the book of Psalms (Psalm 11:5), according to which "God hates all those who love violence." Continuing this thought, he expressed his gratitude for the peace and security present in Hungary, which is one of the greatest gifts from God in today's world full of wars and conflicts. We should respect and appreciate that. He thanked all those who work every day to create and preserve peace, either in our country or elsewhere in the world. As he said, members of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group regularly pray to achieve this. Finally, he expressed his great appreciation for Hungarians across the border, who set an example for us and keep the flame of patriotism in their hearts.
