On December 13, 2025, a prayer group was formed in Pest County.
The Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group continues to consider one of its main objectives to be supporting the establishment of similar prayer groups throughout the country, thereby further strengthening the domestic Christian community and the representation of Christian values, regardless of political or denominational affiliation.

The ceremony was attended by Imre Vejkey, leader of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group, representing the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group, as well as Mónika Bartos, member of the National Assembly and member of the prayer group, János Csaba Tóth and Ádám Berniczei-Roykó, members of the board of trustees, and Antal Lipthay, member of the supervisory board. Richárd Tarnai, chief magistrate of Pest County, also attended the event, emphasizing the importance of community and cooperation with his presence.

The Pest County Prayer Group was initiated by István Szabó, president of the Pest County Assembly, who said that the purpose of their first prayer meeting was spiritual strengthening, listening to one another, and community building during the Advent season.

At the inaugural meeting of the prayer group, in accordance with the regular meetings of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group, Imre Vejkey first shared the daily Gospel passage (Matthew 17:10-13) with those present. According to the teaching of this passage, the second coming of the prophet Elijah is fulfilled in John the Baptist, but the people do not recognize not only the Forerunner, but also the Savior himself.
After the Gospel teaching, Imre Vejkey called the participants to communal prayer, then asked for the Lord's blessing on the activities of the newly formed prayer group. They set out in faith, community, and responsibility to carry the county and its inhabitants in their prayers. Prayer is not just silence, but power. It is not just words, but a sustaining presence.
