The Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group and its Foundation are looking forward to another meeting with His Holiness Pope Francis with great joy and extraordinary preparation.
On April 11, 2023, the meeting of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group was held for the 128th time. According to tradition, the participants prayed together. After that Member of the Parliament Dr. Imre Vejkey, leader of the prayer group shared his thoughts with the participants. The prayer breakfast was complemented by the tradition of Easter sprinkling, which was performed by Mr. Vejkey. The spoken reflection would be available on the website in the future.
Parliamentary elections took place in Finland on April 2. The prayer group operating in the Helsinki parliament organized an outdoor demonstration for the interested Finnish Christians the day before the election, where they prayed together in front of the parliament building so that as many believing Christians as possible would win a mandate the next day and that Finland would have as many Christian parliamentarians as possible in the 2023–27 cycle. The Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group was also invited to this overarching party movement, whose members joined the joint prayer on Saturday via telephone.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the beatification of Dr. László Batthyány–Strattman, we remember his wife, Mária Terézia Coreth, whose life and example completes the light of the holiday.
The 126th prayer breakfast organized by the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group took place on March 28, 2023.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the beatification of Dr. László Batthyány–Strattmann, a commemoration was held in Körmend, which was attended by Member of Parliament Imre Vejkey, leader of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group, and Dr. György Bakondi, Chairman Emeritus of the Hungarian Parliamentary Prayer Group Foundation.
